In just a few taps on their mobile phones, seafarers can now conveniently schedule an appointment for their Seafarer’s Record Book (SRB) and Seafarer’s Identity Document (SID) through the eGov PH App, the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) announced earlier today, 20 March 2025, in Pasay City.

“This integration is not just about convenience—it’s about empowering our seafarers with digital solutions that streamline processes and enhance accessibility,” said MARINA Administrator Sonia Malaluan.

The integration of the SID and SRB Online Appointment System into the eGov PH App simplifies application procedures, reduces waiting times, and ensures a more seamless user experience. This is part of MARINA’s ongoing digital transformation efforts to enhance transparency, efficiency, and service excellence.

“Our seafarers play a crucial role in the global economy. By embracing digital innovations like this, we not only recognize their contributions but also strengthen our support for them,” Administrator Malaluan added.

The inclusion of SID/SRB appointment scheduling in the eGov PH App is just one of many steps MARINA is taking toward digitalization and system integration. The agency remains steadfast in its mission to innovate and elevate services, ensuring that Filipino seafarers continue to set the gold standard in maritime excellence worldwide.

The eGov PH App, developed by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) serves as the single operating system unifying all government services in a single application. The said one-stop-shop platform provides convenience to access public services. The integration is aligned with PBBM's vision of a digitalized government that is responsive to the needs of its citizens.

Seafarers may download the eGov PH App in Google Play, App Store, and AppGallery (Huawei).
